Gaurd our livestock with homeland security?
NOT a good idea, to mandate gps tracking on all livestock , and the usda wants also to open end the ideas of retinal scanning or dna typing . for BIG beef industry and specific electronics divisions. BOTH will get a hefty boost without small farms to keep them working a little bit harder. they claim the national tracking is to prevent disease outbreaks but the US has OK'ed the import of chickens FROM CHINA.. where the BIRD flu currently actually IS. Government wants small farmers, and YES this means ONE chicken ONE horse one rabbit, Your premisis will need an ID number your animal will need a tracking number and tag , possibly gps, or RFID tagging depending on the species, you will not only pay an annual registration fee, but then an annual check up for compliance fee, plus a fee for the electronics themselves pay for a "reader" pay for the ID numbers and then... then you have to report, take a horse on a trail ride? thats 4 YES 4 reportable events that you will also have to pay to do. horse breed registries are FOR this legislation because MANY of them are also FOR horse slaughter! do you like farm fresh eggs? well that farmer or local guy with 10 free range chickens will now have to confine them AND report every chicken, eggs sold and more.
SMALL farmers HELP get you more organic food. WHY ?? because thats how WE raise them ! all the mad cow and such thats from feeding animal products , like hosga and dead cows BACK to COWS small farmers do not generally feed like this MANY many of us avoid it at all costs. to ME ? UREA as a feed ingredient is disgusting and I do not feed it to my sheep ! but it is in FEED!
the same kind of feed BIG farms use. because it is cheaper.
I dont have any cloning going on, just births, because I dont have an on site research lab , check out the big beef companies. how many have their hands in other fires noone wants to know about. SAY NO to NAIS. or the way of life in america will be gone soon. it infringes on so many rights in so many ways , it wont be long before it will be mandatory to microchip kids, for disease control, aids paitents, to track disease... or MORE. .. here is the line America. Put under your farmers, you might as well begin to learn Mandarin.
